Digital Scrapbooking by blushbutter

Over the holidays I put aside some time to get to know Daz studio better, I guess I could have sped up the process by doing all the tutorials I paid for but like with photoshop I just wanted to open it and play around. It's been loads of fun up until I wanted to work out how to get better lighting and renders, then the trial and errors began!! But I'm still having loads of fun rendering all kinds of pretty little fairies and such, which I hope to have in the store after the kids start school for the year on Monday.

I've always loved how pretty and feminine Marilyn was as a screen legend pinup! So when I had my model in Daz and was putting on her clothes and posing her she just grew from my canvas, I had to work days to get her to where I was mostly happy with having captured her playful seductive smile, with partially closed and full lashed sultry eyes. Mouths are the hardest thing to work on in poser and Daz3d especially if you want them to smile and not look creepy, I am beginning to think that's why almost always the models you can buy in the 3d commerce stores are never smiling, I like smiling faces personally. I didn't do any post work on Marilyn except to add her into a butterfly background of mine.

Well I have now done a few more video tutorials(don't you just love youtube?!!) I am a long way from mastering this program but I am now becoming more confident.
My little baby girl stayed sitting up unaided today, I did have pillows behind her, but she kept the position for ages, I thought it was worth noting. She is way too adorable!

Here are some weekly photos of Shaely and some fun ones, I got my pageant tulle skirts off ebay this week and couldn't wait to try them on Shaely, I got the larger sizes so she would have them to enjoy as a little girl too. I gathered up all Logan and Rohan's brown teddybears for the weekly photo shoots just to change it up a little from the pinketty pinketty pinketa I love to put on her LOL
I love all the teddybears around her and the brown make her stand out even more, can't wait to try the vintage effect overlya on these photos I think the browns in the bears might look even lovelier.

Can you see how hard a time I have in deciding which photo makes it to the book?

I'd just as soon as print them all, but whilst perusing through blurb books in the childrens section, I happened upon one that did just that and it got boring very fast, the book I was looking through had the same photo in black n white sepia, some colored parts on black n white and then same 8 photos of what looked the same but different expressions. I learnt a very valuable lesson, only use the one good shot and decide on it. But that is easier said than done as you can see here.

Love this little expression below and want to use this one, but it doesn't have the note card with date on it, in the picture.

My sister gave Shaely this little outfit it's very French with it's little beree and all, love the colour with the little pageant skirt. Having fun with her in these photos

I hope your having a great start to 2010, I am having a great start to my year with the kids being home on holidays, they start back at school next week on the 1st feb.
Rohan will be starting kinder this year, so Shaely and I will get girl time!! Feels so nice to say for a little change LOL.

Here is a photo I took of Shaely on the window near the seat( I take all my photos on the chair in the window light) and after visiting a wonderful site of a talented photographer Florabella I was inspired to have a go at a more softer effect on the photo. I have been taking photos of Shaely weekly in the same spot with a little note with the date on it, I got the wonderful idea off a beautiful blurb book preview, which for the life of me I can't find the link to now, the Mommy took a photo of her little baby upto the age of two in the same spot with the same teddy bear every week with a little note paper reporting the milestone and date on it, I totally loved the idea and am copying it. The hardest problem I have is choosing only one photo from my little weekly photo shoots with Shaely to scrapbook, she is such a sweet little Angel I love every 100 photos I take of her! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!!! What a busy month!!

The boys obliged me this year and relented into having a Santa photo, I had to remind them of all I do for them into guilting them into being nice and sitting for it. Last years photo seemed so empty without them in it, so I'm glad they obliged me. Mr.s Claus offered to hold Shaely for me in the photo which I just loved as I've not had a Mr.s Claus in our Santa photos before. They all smiled beautifully too! It's Summer here right now and we have loads of hay out the front of our place in the fields and with the winds I've had the worst hayfever ever! I get sore eyes and migraines with my hayfever so computer time and creating time has been very limited this month, the kids are home for 3 more weeks keeping me run off my feet with 'em. It's a real hot day here, love to send you a little warmth and heat my US friends! I've been listening to the news reports and it sounds like it's colder there than usual! Oh, Connal my eldest now has his L's(learners)Dad took him out for his first drive, they left with such smiles on their faces and came back with smiles still which I wasn't expecting. Chad said Connal did really well , Connal had a grin from ear to ear! I hope to get photos into a scrapping page soon, I got some great ones!

A friend is someone

I got these beautiful roses and just had to take a photo of them as they were just so very pretty, when I put them on the table to photograph imagine my surprise when out tumbled two wee little flower fairies holding hands and ready to make a quick getaway...
I thought the photo would make lovely stationery for memo notes and or scrapbooking backgrounds for photos, just click on the larger image and right click to save to your own computer to print.
I had to add a friendship quote because the little fairies looked like best friends to me, looking out for one another and the roses. I wonder where they got off too, I could sure use their help with my rose garden, it's looking very sad.
