Inspired by the pretty little dancing girls and their wonderful dresses. Goes with the mini kit LINK
A closer view of the papers I took from an antique book of Childs games, loved this one of the kids dancing down the hill. This image is by Margaret Tarrant, a wondrous illustrator of the early 1900's. The little girls dancing with their dresses held high are from a postcard I bought that was damaged, the printing of their faces and dresses were so roughed up, but I really loved the card and just had to work my photoshop magic on them, recreating their finer details in the faces and folds of the dresses. I hope you like the end result as much as I do.
Challenge news this month!
Aprils Challenge is about your Favourite Color, to get the coupon code to pick up this kit free you will need to be a member of the blush n dusty yahoo group, link in menu. I'm running behind on getting this challenge mini out, I got delayed with an untimely cold, which made me feel totally miserable the last few days, and with the kids being off school on Easter break , it was a struggle but here it is, I do hope you will join in the fun this month, as you can see I could not decide what my favourite color is , so went with a few of my all time faves! Hopefully you will be able to decide on yours as well from the selection, if not the hue and saturation in photoshop is terrific for changing colors![]()

Here is a quickpage I made of my dear little sweetheart Shaely with the kit ![]()
thank's for coming by today and looking
I was inspired to scrap two layouts of my Old Antique books this weekend, the first layout is of my Harrison Fisher and Old music song books, these books are over a hundred years old, I love looking through these basically because I love to look at beautiful things, but these pictures also come with wonderful poems, which are very beautiful of themselves. I ought to list down every title I have but it's now getting late so I will keep this short and let the photos and page speak for itself.
This second layout is of my illustrated Anne Anderson antique books. The journalling reads:
Ever since I was a little girl I was enchanted by the stories of Hans Christian Anderson and the Brothers Grimm. My Mother passed onto me her three most beautifully illustrated Nursery Fairytale books by Anne Anderson and that’s when my collection began. I absolutely adore the illustrations of Anne in these books and how in her need to provide for her little family she would illustrate many books, 100 to be exact.I have 9! My life has been greatly influenced by these wonderful books!
I hope your having a great start to 2010, I am having a great start to my year with the kids being home on holidays, they start back at school next week on the 1st feb.
Rohan will be starting kinder this year, so Shaely and I will get girl time!!
Feels so nice to say for a little change LOL.
I have two small kits to show you, The first one is the Miss You mini kit, for the February Challenge run by Deb in the blush-n-dusty yahoo group link uptop in menu. The mini kit will be free during the month of February with a coupon code. If you like the mini kit you may also like the Miss You kit with the adjoining papers, girl and little sailor boy trio. I've made them into collage sheets for print-n-cut crafts, perfect for cards, paper tolles and decopaging. I came across a wonderful artist Maude Humphey, she drew and painted children in the most delightful and uplifting ways, I'm totally enchanted with her works, postcards and collectibles. Muade Humphrey was the Mother of Humphrey Bogart, I absolutely love his character in the old black-n-whites, another passion of mine! If you ever get the chance to follow up Maude Humphreys work please do so, it's beautiful ![]()
Beautiful Victorian Children styled kit with 4 papers and a set of lovely digitally painted little Victorian children, one in her pink satin dress and white gloves, the little boy in his sailor suit and the little blonde girl in a white and pink lace dress and bouquet. They also come attached and seperate except the little brown haired girl is available here: LINK I've included a compiliation of craft sheets of the little children perfect for decopaging and making cards . 5 flowers in two seperate styles. Gift bow in voile and tulle ribbon, single voile ribbon, voile ribbon hearts, satin aqua green ribbon, string piece in pink, criss cross stitching with embroidery flossing, beaded butterfly in pink. 1pink satin stitched spotted satin ribbon set of alphas(uppercase and lowercase with numerals 0-9) . This mini kit goes with the beautiful Miss You mini kit LINK
Here is a photo I took of Shaely on the window near the seat( I take all my photos on the chair in the window light) and after visiting a wonderful site of a talented photographer Florabella I was inspired to have a go at a more softer effect on the photo. I have been taking photos of Shaely weekly in the same spot with a little note with the date on it, I got the wonderful idea off a beautiful blurb book preview, which for the life of me I can't find the link to now, the Mommy took a photo of her little baby upto the age of two in the same spot with the same teddy bear every week with a little note paper reporting the milestone and date on it, I totally loved the idea and am copying it. I so wish I could find this link to show you, it's very inspiring! I got this lovely photo of her after I took away the note card to distract her. (added post script: I found the link to the book! YAY!!) http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/864135 Blakeney Elizabeth Kelly

Before and
After effects in photoshop![]()

The hardest problem I have is choosing only one photo from my little weekly photo shoots with Shaely to scrapbook, she is such a sweet little Angel I love every 100 photos I take of her! I need my very own editor!!
Here are some more photos of Shaely to catch you up with how much she has grown in the last few months.

thank's for dropping by today
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!!! What a busy month!! ![]()

The boys obliged me this year and relented into having a Santa photo, I had to remind them of all I do for them into guilting them into being nice and sitting for it. Last years photo seemed so empty without them in it, so I'm glad they obliged me. Mr.s Claus offered to hold Shaely for me in the photo which I just loved as I've not had a Mr.s Claus in our Santa photos before. They all smiled beautifully too! It's Summer here right now and we have loads of hay out the front of our place in the fields and with the winds I've had the worst hayfever ever! I get sore eyes and migraines with my hayfever so computer time and creating time has been very limited this month, the kids are home for 3 more weeks keeping me run off my feet with 'em. It's a real hot day here, love to send you a little warmth and heat my US friends! I've been listening to the news reports and it sounds like it's colder there than usual! Oh, Connal my eldest now has his L's(learners)Dad took him out for his first drive, they left with such smiles on their faces and came back with smiles still which I wasn't expecting. Chad said Connal did really well , Connal had a grin from ear to ear! I hope to get photos into a scrapping page soon, I got some great ones!
